Employee Spotlight: Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth has been a member of the Paycom family since February 2013. Last week, I reached out and asked her to share her story.

Describe what you do.

I am the HR Analyst for the HR department at Paycom. I provide numbers and stats to the HR team and respective departments, as well as a variety of projects ranging from Paycom Surveys to annual reviews. Additionally, I have had the privilege to work very closely with our Development department with any employee and/or system needs.

What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?

Have your goals and passion align with each other and work with the right resources (leaders, colleagues, degrees and/or certifications, books and guides); once you have identified those, stay persistent and positive and everything else will fall into place.

What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?

Provide. This was one of the words most frequently used in an employee feedback survey. It’s absolutely amazing, because this word was used on a large spectrum among employees. Paycom provides not only financially, but provides in health, wellness, personally and professionally.

What makes you proud to work at Paycom?

Growth. It has been an amazing adventure to watch the growth of this company! I have been here since 2013 and have had the opportunity to watch building B, C, D and sales offices open up! I have had the privilege of watching employees come in as specialists, flourish into management and become wonderful role models for others.

Where has been your favorite place to travel, and why?

I’ve loved all the places I’ve traveled and believe it was the memories there that made each special in its own way. One of my favorite memories was sitting on the roof of my parents’ house in India during monsoon season. It was so peaceful, and everything was so still, sitting in the rhythmic rain, surrounded by the sights and fragrances of gorgeous coconut trees.

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?

I love to cook and come up with new recipes! Before having kids, I was more able to stay up all night cooking then send the food off to family and friends the next morning so they didn’t have to cook all weekend!

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be and why?

It would definitely be a photographic memory; my closest friends know my memory is terrible and it would have been very helpful in many cases.
